BMT presents the premiere of TV transmission via Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (DMB) on mobile devices in Germany

BMT shows the transmission of moving images via Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (DMB) for the first time in Germany / Together BLM and BMT develop a concept for a DMB pilot project for 2005 in Bavaria / From 20th to 22nd of October 2004 BMT presents mobile receivers from ‘Perstel’ and ‘Samsung’ operating live at its booth (Y1) on the Digital Signs Munich.

BMT presents MHP application for BR news program

In co-operation with the multimedia department of Bayerischer Rundfunk, Bayerische Medien Technik (BMT) developed the application for the BR news program ‘Rundschau’. From the 18th to the 22nd of October 2004 the program associated MHP application will be transmitted digital via satellite (Astra).

Launch of the new TV channel LokalSAT

From the 16th of September 2004 the regional TV program of the western Bavarian local providers TV Augsburg, intv Ingolstadt and TV-Allgaeu will be transmitted on the new TV channel LokalSAT. LokalSAT can be received via ASTRA 1H 19.2° east, transponder 87, digital and unencoded every day from 18:00h to 24:00h in the standard DVB.

After ‘ONTV-Digital Television for Oberpfalz and Niederbayern’ and ‘Franken SAT’ LokalSAT is already the third project of its kind realised and controlled by Bayerische Landeszentrale für neue Medien (BLM) and by Bayerische Medien Technik GmbH (BMT). The goal is to increase the coverage of local and regional TV programs as well as to improve their economic capacity.

10th anniversary of BMT on July the 9th, 2004

In a ceremonial act Bayerische Medien Technik GmbH celebrates its 10th anniversary. Since the foundation in 1994 BMT has not only supervised the DAB pilot project in Bavaria, but is also engaged in various other fields, which we present on our new web site as well as in numerous lectures during the celebration.
