The EU tender procedure for the tendering of satellite services for the Bavarian local TV stations offers is now running.
At www.deutsche-evergabe.de the documents are available under the search term “Satellitendienstleistungen”. The deadline for submitting tenders is the end of April.

project start iKoPA By 01 December 2015 the project iKoPA (integrated communications platform for automated electric vehicles) started with a duration of 3 years. Intelligent and sustainable mobility is a key aim of the new high-tech strategy. The project intention from iKoPA is reliable automation of electric vehicles through secure electronic components with standardized interfaces. The planned work will enable the integration of vehicle-centered environment with external data collection and mobility services. As a result important gaps in automated electric driving can be closed. bmt will provide its TPEG know how therefore.

ARD, Media Authorities, Media Group RTL Germany, ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG, VPRT and ZDF launch a joint initiative to introduce DVB-T2 HD for terrestrial television. For the communicative support of the transfer to DVB-T2 HD the bmt is commissioned as a project office. The website www.DVB-T2HD.de provides further information. In future the standards DVB-T2 and HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding) will be used for the terrestrial television in Germany. With this advanced combination the German TV broadcasters will transmit television in the remaining frequency spectrum for broadcasting. Due to changes made by the federal government the frequency spectrum for DVB-T (terrestrial television) will be reduced.
The General Assembly of ITS Bavaria has chosen Mr Martin Dreher to the Board. Martin Dreher is concerned for over 15 years now within Bayerische Medien Technik with traffic and telematics. He is heavily involved in the standardization of TPEG. He codevelops the product portfolio of bmt and is part of the team of experts to advice car and receiver manufacturers, network operators and broadcasters.
Since April 10th 14 out of 16 bavarian local TV stations are receivable via IPTV (ENTERTAIN). The bmt has organized contribution, processing of SI/EPG-data as well as contract management within its commission of the Bayerische Landeszentrale für neue Medien (BLM). The last two missing programs will follow later.

The Media Library’s content is obtained from RSS Feeds or through XML files via FTP. In this way a web based Media Library can be very easily extended to support HbbTV functionality. Moreover changes in your Internet Content Management System are either not necessary or are relatively minor.
The Diagram below shows a few examples of configurations available. Almost all local TV stations in Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg are using the HbbTV Media Center Solution of the bmt and run it continuously “On Air”.
